What inspired you to choose the sport you play?
When I was younger and would watch Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson play the game
with such heart, determination and dominance.
How long have you been involved in sports?
Since the age of 9, basketball since the age of 13
How did you become involved with PTE?
I met Coach Q during pick up basketball at a local gym.
How long have you been a PTE Counselor (Coach)?
Have been involved in the 2008 Winter Camp, 2009 Summer Camp and 2009 Winter Camp
Describe your strength as a PTE Counselor:
My strengths are an ability to motivate players, to understand the psychology of players and
help them develop their athletic and mental capacity of the game, to help them understand
how to use basketball as a tool and how to think critically abut basketball as a whole.
What do you like most about being a PTE Counselor?
Having the opportunity to pass along all that I have learned about the game of basketball and
life to younger players
How has sports helped you with your life achievements and everyday goals?
The lessons you learn by playing basketball; hard work, determination, teamwork, goal
setting, mental toughness, are al attributes that I have continued to use in my daily life.
Through basketball I have develop the ability to set and reach goals and maintain focus even
in the midst of chaos.
What is an inspirational quote you would like to pass along? (your EDGE of the day)
You can either make time or you can make excuses, your choice!

(20.1 ppg), led the conference in overall PTS, PPG, Conference PPG, FG%, FGM, FGA, FTM, FTA and Stls,
Number Ten Scorer in the state in senior season, Minneapolis Star and Tribune All Metro, St. Paul Pioneer Press All Metro, Minneapolis
Star and Tribune All State, St. Paul Pioneer Press All State, Minnesota Basketball News All State during senior season
Led the state in dunks during senior year.
Senior year team was ranked number preseason #4 in the state and finished the year
ranked number 10, was a top 10 finalist for Minnesota Mr. Basketball Award, Played in the1995 Minnesota All-Star Game
and the Inner City Classic All-Star Game
Recruited by over 50 schools including Colorado, Syracuse, Texas Tech, Texas
A&M, Washington, Pepperdine and St. Bonaventure, Siena. Received a full athletic Scholarship to the University of
Colorado
One of 3 players in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Area to receive a Division 1 scholarship offer.
Played on the 1996-
1997 University of Colorado team that was ranked as high as 16th in the country.
